Thank you card!

Hi everyone! Don't you just love these colors together? Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, and Chocolate Chip. This card is made using the Level 3 Hostess bundle called "Holiday Happenings." It is soooo cute! It comes with paper, stamps, and rub-ons. What more could you ask for! I used the circle punches and scallop punch, with a touch of grosgrain ribbon to make the card fun. Contact me to learn how to earn this set of goodies!

Sweet and Simple!

Here is one good reason to have an SU! workshop with me! The awesome hostess sets and rub-ons! This card was very simple to make using the Level 3 Hostess Bundle called "Holiday Happenings." You get stamps, rub-ons, and dsp. All I added to this card was top note die cut in Pink Passion and there you have it. Easy and cute! If you don't have a Big Shot die cut machine yet, ask your DH for one for Christmas. I use it all the time. Enjoy the card.

The Christmas spirit...

Hi all! I am decorating for fall, but I am in the Christmas spirit! Go figure! Here is a cute set with last year's hit dsp "Dashing" and the awesome stamp set "Season of Joy." The colors are Garden Green and Real Red. I added a little red grosgrain ribbon and an oval punch-out to make this card simple and fun.

More framed art...

Hi Everyone! Here is something really fun that you can make for your home or as a gift. The frame is from CBS and I used some random winter paper and the "Big on Christmas" stamp set. This is a really fun set that is very versatile. I layered paper, scallop punched an edge, added some ribbon and TA-DA! Sorry about the glare on the photo.... Enjoy!

Yeah! I'm back!

Yeah! My camera is now working, thanks to my DH and I am re-joining blog land. My first post is a fun holiday idea to do with a frame. The frame was from the $ store and it was already divided into 3 sections. I used the Letterpress Alphabet (retired) to do the letters. I embossed them in Old Olive and Real Red. I also used retired Dashing paper. I LOVE and MISS that paper. I added some ribbon, star punch-outs, brads and such to make some fun framed paper art! Enjoy!

My poor camera!

Hi All! I have a pile of fun cards sitting here ready to share with you and as I went to take my pictures, my camera decided to have ISSUES. I tried new batteries and that didn't work. My DH said when he gets a moment he will look at it. So much for the ease of technology! Thanks for your patience and please check back soon. I am also gathering some new links for some awesome bloggers. To be continued...

If you've been to my blog before, you know that I LOVE to make cards and goodies from SU's "Simply Scrappin" Kits. For the next several posts, I will be using the kit called "Crew Kids Girl." It has great colors like: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Regal Rose, and Wild Wasabi. All I added to the kit was some ribbon and brads. Enjoy! I will post more from this set tomorrow.

For You...

Hi All! I hope that you all had a great 4th of July! I know we did! Here is a "girly" card that I did to start using up my Antique Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware that is retiring in August. I used Basic Grey, Pretty In Pink, Pixie Pink, and White inks and cs. I used elements from the "Stitched Exotics" and "One of A Kind" sets. I also added a bit of grosgrain ribbon. More to come the next few days! I actually had time to stamp. Now if only someone would come and clean my work area up...

Trying out new things!

I needed a special wedding card for my neighbor and friend, and I finally decided to break out my new Nestibillities Rectangle and scallop die cuts. I am in love and desperately need more! The are easy to use in your Cuttlebug and make your card look so fun! I also used the D'vine Swirls Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug. The heart is embossed with white ink and is from the SU! set "Always." For accents, I used silver cord and brads. I think I am going to make this card in some other colors to have on hand for some upcoming weddings. Enjoy!

A "Guy" Card...

My Little Brother had a birthday yesterday and this is the card that I made for him. I used the "Artifacts" set that retired many moons ago, but I will NEVER part with it. It is a great masculine set. I used Kraft, Creamy Caramel, and Baroque Burgundy inks and cs. I also used the "Sanded" background stamp. It is a great one to have, especially when making masculine cards. For accents, I used the Photo Corners punch, distressing tool, and paper piercer.

Summer Picnic DSP! WOW!

I can't get enough of this paper! Here is another example of a simple card using Summer Picnic DSP and Die-Cut Blooms. I hope my SIL likes it! I'ts for her B-day. I love these vibrant colors and patterns. This card would be great at a beginner workshop. More fun to come! I am so glad that I have had time to be creative lately.

Get Em' Before They Are Gone!

When making this card, I used some cute and EASY goodies from the Occasions Mini-Catalog which is done at the end of June. I used Summer Picnic dsp and Die-cut Blooms to make this simple and "summery" card. I also used the Photo Corner punch, 1/8 hole-punch, and a button w/ hemp twine to accent the focal point. I think I need to order more of this paper and more die-cut blooms! AHHHH! I am addicted....

Sorry I've been absent...

Hi Fellow Stampers! Those of you that are busy Mom's know how I feel right now. I have been very busy, as I also do craft shows and sell my hand-stamped creations. I spent a lot of time getting my inventory up, so I have not had much time to make some new and fun cards to post. This week I will make some time to get some new cards up. Thanks for your patience!

I love these colors!

Don't you just love these colors together? I made this card a couple weeks ago, and I forgot to post it! This Thank You card is made with the Mini-Catalog set called "Live Your Dream." It also uses the matching dsp called "Afternoon Tea." The colors I used are: Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White. It was quick, easy, and elegant. Just my style! Enjoy!

Simple, yet elegant...

Did you ever read Take Ten crafters' magazine? Every now and then I pick it up at the local craft store. Inside, it has a page divided into 4 sections of cs for you to try out. I usually forget it's in there, but I loved how the paper used both red and burgundy, which is a color combo I never would have thought of putting together. I used Bravo Burgundy and Real Red cs and ink, along with some Bravo Burgundy ribbon and some pewter brads. Just for fine, try using some off-beat colors on your next card! Have fun and be creative.

Tuesday, May 20, 2008

Get Well soon...

I finally talked myself into getting this set and I am SO glad that I did! "A Little Bird Told Me" is one of the cutest sets in the catalog. I like to make simple cards like this one to show how you don't always have to use tons of embellishments to make a great card. I used our fantastic In Colors; Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, and Groovy Guava, as well as Basic Black and Whisper White cs and ink. I don't know what I will do when these colors retire in August! AHHHH!

Monday, May 19, 2008

Cowboy Fun!

My 50% off coupon for my local craft store was burning a hole in my pocket, so I HAD to buy a K & Company paper pad. I loved these vintage childhood images and colors! I was able to use Chocolate Chip and Handsome Hunter ink and cs to match. I also used some jumbo pewter brads, "Print pattern" background, sentiment from "Lots of Thoughts" and some hemp twine to complete my birthday card. This would also be a fun Father's Day card. I hope you like it!

Thursday, May 15, 2008

I love this set!

Here is a Sympathy card that I made with my new favorite SU! set called "Always." The bird in this set is amazing because you can give it subtle color w/ markers or watercolors to make it look really bohemian, which is very "in" right now. I used Chocolate Chip, Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, and Whisper White inks and card stock. I also used "Afternoon Tea" dsp from the Occasions Mini. Get it while it is still available!!! I added some ribbon and some sponging for an worn effect. Enjoy!

Hey There Cupcake!!

Hi Everyone! Thanks for being patient with my blogging. I am lucky to post a few times a week! AHHH! Oh well, it's better than not sharing at all, right? Here is a cute card made from a clear acrylic Stampendous Set called "Hey There Cupcake." I fell in love with this set because I am a HUGE cupcake fan. I actually spent $6 on a gourmet cupcake in NYC and it was the best EVER! Worth every penny! Anyway, I also used SU! Berry Bliss dsp, Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White cs and inks. Add a little ribbon and there you have it! I could just eat a cupcake right now!

Father's Day card idea...

Hi All! I am working outside of my home this week, so I won't be posting everyday. Here is an awesome patriotic Father's Day card that my Card Club will be making in May. A lot of our dad's/grandfathers are veterans, so I thought this was a fun idea to pay tribute. I used Real Red, Brilliant Blue, and Whisper White cs and inks. I used the 2 star punches, ticket corner punch, "Dotted Lines" jumbo wheel, and some silver cord and brads on this card to make it pop. The sentiment is from the "All Holidays" set. This is a must have set! I hope you like the card! Thanks to all the vets out there!

More simple baby cards...

Here are two really simple but cute baby cards! Aren't "Simply Scrappin'" Kits great? All I added was a brad and some ribbon and Voila! I also loved the textured paper that comes in the kits. Try one!

Brand New Baby cards...

Here are two new cards from the Special Delivery Boy and Girl Simply Scrappin' Kit. The only embellishments that I added that weren't from the kit were the brads. How easy is that! This is a great demo to show at your workshops to guests who think that they don't have enough time to make hand-made cards. I have lots of babies in my life due to arrive in the fall, so I better make more of these. Enjoy!

I'm getting back to business!

Hi All! Soryy I have been away from blogging for the last couple of weeks. My son is no longer napping (a moment of silence please) and that was my prime blogging and stamping time. Now I have to find time again and re-work my schedule! Ahhhh! Please send me comments if you Moms out there have any tips. I decided that now that I am time disadvantaged, I am going to rely on some good ole' stand by's for making cute, easy, and quick cards. SU's "Simply Scrappin' Kits." I chose to start with "Special Delivery" boy and girl sets. I am constantly in need of baby and toddler cards. I will post a few cards from this set for the next few days. Enjoy!
My fist two cards were super quick and super cute! Just use the self-adhesives, card stock, and designer paper that comes in your kit. You can always add a few embellishments here and there, but sometimes you won't even need any! Simple is beautiful!

A little time off....

Hi All! I have been sooooo busy getting ready for a mini-vacation to my parents this week that I have neglected the blogging world. I will be gone next week and I won't be posting anything new. Check back in a week for some really cool new stuff! Thanks for checking in!

Tart & Tangy for Mom!

I have a few workshops coming up that will feature some Mother's Day cards. I love using the new "Tart & Tangy" set from the Occasions Mini-Catalog. I chose to use Old Olive, Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, and Pumpkin Pie inks and cs. I also used the Print pattern background, scallop scissors, grosgrain ribbon, black brads, and the circle punches. The adorable sentiments are from "Holiday Blitz," "everyday flexible phrases," and "Sweet Shapes." Have a great day and I'll post more next week! We're off for the weekend!

One of A Kind!

I am sooo excited that I finally got to play with my Boho Blossoms punch and "One Of A Kind" set. And my Berry Bliss dsp! Woo Who! I used Close to Cocoa, Pretty In Pink, Purely Pomegranate, and Whisper White inks and cs. I also added some pink grosgrain ribbon to make this simple and fun card. Is it me, or are pink and brown the cutest colors together?

The cutest baby card EVER!

Hi All! Sorry that I haven't blogged in awhile, but we have been running around like crazy this week! Ahhh! I just got back from a meeting with my AWESOME Wee Inkers SU! group and I took a photo of this card and I loved it! Lauren Meader, and amazing paper crafter, has a tutorial that you can link onto to get the directions. This is my 1st version, so it is not without flaws by any means. I used Whisper White and Regal Rose, along with my favorite stamp set, "Priceless." Anyone who receives a baby card like this will truly love it! Another idea for Mother's Day!

Most of my April hostesses are asking for Mother's Day cards as their make-n-takes, so I have been working on this type of card. Here is an elegant card featuring the always elegant "Carte Postale" set. I used Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue, annd So Saffron inks and cs. I also used some Le Jardin dsp, large square punch, gold brad and cord. The sentiment is from "All Holidays." I hope you all have a great day! I'll be posting some other Mother's Day cards soon...

Monday, March 24, 2008

A Cute B-day card!

Here is a cute B-day card I forgot to post during SAB. Even though it uses "Birthday Whimsy," you can use any b-day set with a cake. I used Barely Banana, Bashful Blue, and Pretty In Pink inks, markers, and cs. I also used my favorite background, Print Pattern. Use some gingham ribbon and the tab punch and you have an easy and fun card.

Wednesday, March 19, 2008

Oops!

After I downloaded the two cards below, my hand bumped the "Publish Post" button! OOPS! I think I'm going to have one of those days today... Anyway, I used these cards in a workshop to demo the ease and elegance of rub-ons. These cards are variations on a previous post using "Friendship Blooms" and SAB rub-ons. The colors are: Basic Black, Purely Pomegranate, and Pretty In Pink. I love to make a few cards using the same sets and colors, but with different layouts and embellishments.

An idea for Mother's Day!

Here is a fun and easy card, similar to one in the Spring & Summer Collection, that you can use to show off your felt flowers from Flower Fusion. I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Rose Red, as well as Bali Breeze DSP. The sentiment is from the set "All Holidays." I added some gold brads and ribbon to add some dimension. Try these flowers! They make your card look very elegant.

Cute as a Bug!

I found a copy of this cute card that I used for a swap last year. It's called "Cute As A Bug!" I used Real Red, Glorious Green, Basic Black, and Whisper White to create this picnic-themed b-day card. I also used Print Pattern background, tag punch, large and medium square punched, and some black gingham ribbon. Here's to the picnic season! I am soooo ready for warm weather...

Thursday, March 13, 2008

An Oldie But Goodie...

I made this card for a workshop last year and it is just so simple and cute that I had to share it! I used the "Polka Dots & Paisley" set for my focus and I wanted to use bright and cheerful colors. My colors were: Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, Basic Black, and Whisper White. I also used some black gingham ribbon and the large square punch. Easy Peasy to demo!

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Spring Colors...

I am so ready for Spring weather! At least we got outside today here in Central Pa. Here is a simple, easy to demo card made with "Carte Postale." I needed to use bright colors to brighten my less than great mood today. I used Regal Rose, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Green Galore, and a bit of Chocolate Chip. I also used some blue gingham ribbon and the large square punch. The sentiment is from "Warmest Regards," and old hostess set that I will NEVER part with! Think Spring!

Showing the ease of Rub-ons...

My "Card Clubs" are this week and the ladies asked to have a demo on rub-ons. I decided to do two cards of a similar style, one with rub-ons to show and one without to demo. I chose the great rub-ons from Sale-A-Bration. I used Purely Pomegranate, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, and Basic Black cs and ink. I also used the matching stamp set "Friendship Blooms." For accents, I used: ribbon, Boho Blossoms punch, ticket corner punch, and "Itty Bitty Backgrounds." Hopefully the ladies will enjoy seeing this card!

Thursday, March 6, 2008

Beep! Beep!

It's March B-day time! Our family has lots of birthdays coming up. I made this card for my son's best buddy who just turned 4! I used the adorable retired set "By Land." I love to use bright colors for kiddo cards, so I used Yoyo Yellow, Real Red, and Green Galore cs and ink. I also used markers and black gingham ribbon. For a sky and road effect, I sponged Tempting Turquoise and Basic Grey onto the Whisper White. Beep-Beep!

Fruit Stand

I have several clubs and workshops coming up where people have asked for Mother's Day cards. Here is a card made with my new set "Fruit Stand." I love this set! It is very simple and is a very country-type style, which I love. I used Black Staz-On to stamp the line image onto Naturals Ivory, then I colored the image in with my Watercolor Wonder crayons/Aqua Painter. I matted the image onto Lovely Lilac and Elegant Eggplant. Then mounted that onto Creamy Caramel. The background is done in Creamy Caramel, using the Canvas and Sanded background stamps. I also added some ribbon and Hodgepodge Hardware. The sentiment is from "All Holidays. I sponged Creamy Caramel over the surface of the card when I was done to give it an aged look.

Think of the beach!!!

Here is my last card that I am posting from my Simply Scrappin' Kit "Summer Days." Not that I couldn't make a TON more, I have lots of paper and die cuts left, but I am moving on to my "Card Clubs" that I have later this month. For this adorable card, I used elements and paper from the kit, and I also used my paper piercer from my Crafter's Tool Kit. Love this tool! This card makes me want to go to the beach!

A new set!

The new Occasions Mini-Catalog is finally here! This great Grad card uses not only a Simply Scrappin' Kit, but also the new set called "In The Stars." I love this set because it is very versatile. I also used both of SU's awesome star punches, some silver brads, and some silver elastic cord. The colors are: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, and Wild Wasabi. This would also make a great Father's Day card with a different sentiment. Email me if you are interested in any of SU's great new sets!

Bashful Blue!

Sometimes just using a simple one-color or two-color combo can be really beautiful. I love the color combo of Bashful Blue and Whisper White. I used materials from the "Summer Days" Simply Scrappin' Kit to put together this quick card to demo at a workshop. I added some rub-ons from Sale-A-Bration and some white ribbon and here's what I came up with!

Simply Scrappin' Kit Cards

Did you ever try out an SU! Simply Scrappin' Kit? I love to use them not only for scrapbooking, but also for making cards. For the next four days, I will be showing cards that use materials from the "Summer Days" Simply Scrappin' Kit. Each kit has a ton of textured paper, dsp, and die-cuts w/ adhesive to make some creative pages and cards. This card is a cheery card, which also uses the "Stitched Exotics" stamp set. I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Bashful Blue cs and inks. I also used some Sale-A-Bration Rub-ons, white grosgrain ribbon. Click to enlarge the card to see the stitched detail on the card. Tune in tomorrow for another sample from this kit.

Different-sized card

My super-fun upline and sideline, the Weeinkers, are getting together soon and our swap needs to be a non-standard sized card. I decided to try out a 3x6 card and it turned out really cute! I am a HUGE fan of SU's beautiful pink shades. I also love this set! It is called "Priceless" and it is so versatile. I used Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Whisper White inks and cs. I used the sentiment from the "All Holidays" set. Some other goodies used were: dd glitter, white gel pen, white grosgrain ribbon, word window punch, large square punch, silver brads, and Rose Red dsp. The word window is punched through the FRONT of the card and the sentiment is glued inside. Enjoy!

Monday, February 25, 2008

It's time for another fun Sale-A-Bration set card! I LOVE the new set "So Many Scallops." I used it to make a bright & cheery birthday card for a kiddo. I think my family has about 10 birthdays coming up! AHHH! I chose to use Real Red, Brilliant Blue, and Yoyo Yellow inks, markers, and cs for this card. I also added some silver cord, a red button, a staple, and some other stamp sets, such as: Everyday Flexible Phrases, Print Pattern background, In the Stars, and Three For You. The scallop, large circle, and word window punches were also used. Hope you enjoy this bright and fun card!

Sweet One

My DH is home today due to snow so we all went out and made a snowman. It was so fun! With him home, it also means the possibility of me getting more stamping time! Woo Whoo! Here is another card made from a Sale-A-Bration set called "So Many Scallops." It is a cute little new baby card using Whisper White, So Saffron, and Mellow Moss inks and cs. I also used: white grosgrain ribbon, star punch, buttons, paper peircer, and some So Saffron dsp. This could be demo'd at a workshop. Enjoy! I'm going to go and run to my stamping area before someone NEEDS me. ha-ha
