Heart To Heart Card Drive

Hi Everyone! It's been a WHOLE YEAR since I updated my blog! We had a big move, my Little Man started Kindergarten, and lots of other things happened that took my special blog time away:) I came across a special post on Paper Craft Magazine's blog about a fellow paper-crafter who does an AMAZING card drive for Alzheimer's caregivers. Her name is Carolyn King and her blog is called: My Blog by Cammie Please check out her blog and help make the day of an Alzheimer's caregiver. You can send a card to someone who helps care for someone with this depressing disease. Cammie also is giving away AMAZING blog candy for one special winner who submits a card. I am really thankful for Cammie. This cause is so close to my heart. My beloved Gram is in a memory care facility and my Mom is a devoted caretaker of her. She visits every week, several times, even though my Gram doesn't know who she is. It is really hard on her and all of our family. I lost a Great-Grandmother and a Great-Uncle to this horrible disease as well. This thank-you card above is the one I am sending out today to my Mom. I don't thank her enough for all that she does. I love you Mom and Grandma Weeze!

Good Friends...

I am blessed with so many "angels" in my life and this SU! set fits in my collection perfectly! Here is a cute thank you card using the If the Halo Fits set. I used Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, and Lovely Lilac paper, markers, and water color crayons. I used Basic Black for the image and sentiments. Whisper White Craft ink was used with Itty Bitty Backgrounds to create the dotted background. I used a bit of Dazzling Diamonds glitter on her wings. Make this card and send it to one of your favorite angels.

Hello Again!

Hi! I just can't seem to find blogging time lately! A woman's work is never done. Here is a cute and quick card made using the Big Shot machine and my favorite die, Top Note. I used Whisper White for the card and for the die cut. I used Rose Red, one of my favorite shades, to do the panel and inks. The Mother's Day sentiment is from the All Holidays set. I used the Bella Toile Background stamp on both the card and the Rose Red panel. I accented the RR grosgrain ribbon with some cute flower punch-outs and adhered them with a brad. I also sponged the edges with RR ink. Thanks for checking in!

Yummy Green Tea!

All right ladies, I drink my green tea every morning and I was soooo sad to see this dsp go! Here is a card created using "Green tea" dsp, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, and Whisper white. The stamp set I used is called "Eastern Blooms." The sentiment is from a retired set called "Three For You." I added some grosgrain ribbon in Certainly Celery, a fun gold brad, and an Old Olive felt flower from Flower Fusion. Off to do some coloring with my favorite 4-year old!
