My Baby is turning 3!!!

Hi All! I can't believe that in a few days my baby boy is turning 3! He loves when I "tamp" and make him cards, so I thought I would share his birthday card with you. I used the "Wild About You" set which is a great set to have if you have kiddos in your life. I love to use bright and bold colors when making cards for children. I chose Real Red, Glorious Green, and Yoyo Yellow cs and ink, as well as Glossy White and Basic black. I added some gingham ribbon and some hodgepodge hardware to make it extra special. Tha background dry embossing is done with my Cuttlebug machine. Yeah Mom and Dad! Great Christmas present. If you don't already own one of these babies, I would run out an buy one!

I made this card because I wanted to make my thank you cards personal to my family. The "All In The Family" set works perfectly! You can use the mix and match "people parts" to portray your own crew. Along with the family set, I also used Curvy Verses and the heart is from Time Well Spent (Hostess Level 3). The card is made with Groovy Guava, Whisper White, and Close to Cocoa cs, Soft Sky dsp, Close To Cocoa ribbon, black Staz-On ink, and it is colored in using markers and Watercolor Wonder Crayons.

I've Been Tagged!

Wow! I am new at this stuff, but it sound's fun! My wonderful friend and 2nd upline LeAnne tagged me. She has a fantastic blog called Wee Inklings. Check it out! I am supposed to use the letters in my middle name(or if you don't have one, use your maiden name) to tell something about my self. You are also supposed to tag another blogger for each letter. I'm don't really know too many bloggers yet, but I'll try. Here goes:

E-Empathetic: I try and put myself in other people's shoes so I can try and understand what they are going through. I would want them to do the same for me:)

L-Loving- I love everyone in my life and I am working on being more loving to those with "extra grace required." Does anyone know where I can buy some patience?

A-Artistic- I have been some type of artist most of my life: oil painting, drawing, and now paper crafting(which is definitly my favorite)

I-Intent on keeping my blog new and fresh

N-Neurotic-Isn't everyone???Just a little... I hope I'm not the only one....What if I am? Just kidding:)

E-Emotional- I cry at commercials, while reading books, every single Sunday at church, and practically everytime my Little One does something sweet

Fabulous Flowers

Don't you just love the set "Fabulous Flowers?" I saw this layout in last year's Fall/Winter Collection and I had to try it! I used "Fabulous Flowers" to make this cheery card for someone who is very fabulous! I also used: Soft sky, Basic Gray, and Whisper White cs, along with Purely Pomegranate, Basic Gray, and Versamark inks. I love this polka dot ribbon from the "Sherbet" collection. Also, I used a paper peircer to make the little holes along the Basic Gray paper line and in the bottom left-hand corner. Add a pewter brad and you're done!

Enjoy Life!

Hi All! Happy Super Bowl to You! My card for today is another simple and unique card to demo. I used the "Enjoy Every Moment"set, which is great for showcasing how sometimes a fun sentiment is enough to carry the card front. I used Certainly Celery, Lavender Lace, and Regal Rose cs. My inks were: Lavender Lace and Regal Rose. I also used the ticket corner punch, gold cord and brad, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Flowers For You dsp, and the Three for You punch. I use this punch a TON! Remember to take this sentiment to heart: Enjoy every moment...

Garden Whimsy

It hasn't stopped raining here all day and it feels like it's 7:00 at night. I needed a "Springy" card to get me out of the winter blahs. Using the "Garden Whimsy" set, I made a simple card that you can demo at your next workshop. I used the colors Taken with Teal, Regal Rose, Creamy Caramel, and Whisper white. I added some dd glitter, gingham ribbon, and some Hodgepodge Hardware and this cute card is what I got!
